I’m in love with these little gems, vintage teacups repurposed into beautiful candles. I’m on the hunt for pretty teacups to make some for my house.

These beautifully hand crafted ceramics are created by Kim Wallace from Brisbane, Australia. Her method of pressing doilies into wet clay leaves a gorgeous pattern of the lace behind, which is then glazed with a soft colour in the pattern. Her range includes bowls, dishes, ornaments and and porcelain jewellery, you can visit her website for more (her shop is temporarily closed, you can sign up to the mailing list at Udessi to receive updates).

Day 1 – Patterned Paper Animal Tangrams – Remember creating tangrams at school? These would make nice artwork for a nursery or kids room.

Day 2 - Creative To-Do List: I stained the pegs with watercolour paints and created a list for each week day on manila tags. Looks lovely hung on this message board I bought on Etsy a little while ago.

Day 3 – Pencil Holder - I inserted some lovely patterned paper into an upcycled jar to hold my watercolour pencils.

Day 4 – Watercolour Print – “when life gives you hands make handmade”

Day 5 – Fun Little Graphic – “everyone wants to escape sometimes”

Maricor/Maricar created these artworks as part of an ongoing series of hand embroidered type experiments. The detail of hand sewing colour gradients and overlapping strokes in the letters is incredible. You can view more of this project and other design work on their website.
